Procedure

Add Phase A ingredients to a clean and sanitized beaker. Clamp the beaker onto a stand mixer with attached dispersion blade and begin mixing at low-medium speed (500-1000 rpm) until uniform. Add Phase B ingredients while mixing at medium speed (1000 rpm). Ensure there is a vortex while mixing. Once all Phase B ingredients have been added to the vessel, increase mixing to high speed (3000 rpm). Continue mixing at high speed for at least 15-20 minutes until pigments are fully dispersed. If batch heats up significantly, pause mixing until it cools back down. Resume mixing once batch has cooled to approximately room temperature. Check for undispersed pigment between glass slides and continue mixing at high speed, if necessary. Once pigments are fully dispersed and no visible streaks are observed between glass slides, add Phase C ingredients. Continue mixing at low-medium speed (500-1000 rpm) until uniform. Add Phase D ingredients under medium speed mixing (1500-2000 rpm). Continue mixing until uniform.
